Advising you about what people need, want, and do...and why.
People Path has the experience and in-depth knowledge of people and behaviors that provides robust research results. We answer
your questions, solve your pain points, and advise you on the best direction to go in a language you can understand. We talk to people
where they live, work, hang out, vacation, and sleep. Sometimes this can take weeks. Sometimes months. The techniques used will be
dictated by your budget, time line, and the depth of your questions. We also provide subcontracting services for larger research firms.
Some
of the research techniques we use include:
* In-context observation (participant observation)
* Open-ended, individual interviews
*
Product itinerary
* Shop-alongs
* Small group discussions
* Material culture analysis
* Neighborhood characterization
* Contextual inquiry
*
Ethnographic videography
* Literature review and synthesis
We choose the mix of techniques that will best serve your project goals.
For some research projects we'll create a comprehensive ethnography, which is an in-depth cultural investigation that allows you to
develop a much deeper understanding of people, why they do things, and how they do them. For other projects you won't need this much
depth; in these cases we'll create a research project that will help you answer a specific question or meet a goal.
